I MOLOSSI DEL TIBET kennel has been working in dog selection for more than ten years. It represents a high reference point for the Tibetan Mastiff selection, in order to produce an authentic and big molossus, the father of all the molossus. Maurizio Rivoira produced great and important litters. He is the only Italian TM breeder to win a world competition with the magnificent Nor Pu in Milan in 2000.
On November 2000 Chomolamga arrived in Italy from Taiwan thanks to the help of two friends who had fallen in love with the breed. She represents the most clever purchase and import we have ever done. This powerful black female guarantees the pureness of the breed thanks to her Tibetan blood line and she gave birth to significant specimens by some perfect and clever matings with European Tibetans. Her former two sons Wang Du Rivoira and Karma have already given birth to unique puppies.
We are still selecting a powerful, heavy and large dog with those molossus qualities that travellers, men from the army and experts of Tibet have described in their diaries for 2500 years of history. We neither support the incorrect standards which have been written down with a commercial purpose, nor the stupid words of many "breeders". Other important aspects are the comparison and the relation between the Tibetan culture and the current nomadic dogs which have an important role in their same culture.
I MOLOSSI DEL TIBET wants to become a meeting point for the lovers of the breed and thanks to the cooperation of some friends we will try to create a website plenty of images and concepts about the Tibetan Mastiff, his origins, his history and the current breeding selections. We will also follow and give information about the most important litters.
