Our dogs, our history
In this page you'll have all the specimen we currently have at "I Molossi del Tibet" kennel. Between them there are also the unforgivable ones who have crossed the rainbow now, but who have given an important contribution to the restoration of the original and mythical Tibetan Mastiff.
In 1985 Bracci and Bietolini published an article on the magazine "Natura Oggi" (Nature Today). That article gave us a great idea and in 1992 the history of "I Molossi del Tibet" kennel began.
Firstly I visited the most important French kennels (Tour Chandos and Mille Vallées) and from that tour arrived Bhotan. Our history gave us many satisfactions which cost us many sacrifices and a lot of work.
In Milan 2000, a lot of intuition and good luck allowed me to get the prestigious qualification of World Champion with the gorgeous Nor Pu. I had the great chance of finding Alishan, but my real great merit is that I have looked for him for a long time. Although he was such an important dog, I preferred not to mate him with Jarma Linka des Mille Vallées, a female with a huge pedegree. I preferred to mate her with a specimen proper to her, and this experiment revealed itself a win.
During those years our dogs got many qualifications as Italian and International Champion. They also got a never-ending list of CACIB, CAC and BOB, so many first place qualifications at "breed special meetings" and the First Place at the most important Italian Expo in Milan. Nowadays there are not other italian dogs who have got that qualification. In 2000 Alishan obtained the first place at "Longchamp" special meeting and Norpu got the "World Championship". Without any doubt these are my best memories speaking about expos.
Our Bhotan, Pha-mir-gyal, Jarma Linka, Gyatso, Da Wa and Alishan will stay for ever in our hearts, as well as all the crossbred dogs who have lived with them and all the dogs of this kennel that have crossed the rainbow now.
